Installation view, Reflection (2016)
Collaboration with Óskar Guðjónsson on saxophone

When searching for fish, Icelandic fishermen used equipment called ASDIC. This device finds reflection from dense shoals of fish or whale in up to one mile range from the vessel. The exhibition space shows screen-printed picture of the radar from the same device. In a recording a saxophone player has interpreted this print as a musical notation and plays his interpretation in harmony with the sound from the fish finding device.
